Nothing much happened at work today. Hasamu asked me if I had been to the stores around here and when I mentioned I’d only been to the Lawson’s (convenience store) they started talking about the good convenience stores in the area. Then he asked me if I was OK with my bicycle.
Hasamu: [So is everything OK with your bike?]
Me: [Um…I’m not sure. I have the key for it, but I don’t know where it is.]
Hasamu: [Anapan! You didn’t tell him where his bike is?]
Anpan: [Captain Crunch was supposed to do that!]
Hasamu: (yelling across the room) [Hey Captain Crunch! Chan-san says he doesn’t know where his bike is!]
Captain Crunch: [Ah, I forgot…]
After work Captain Crunch went back with me to the dorm to show me where my bicycle was. We ended up poking around the bike rack for a couple minutes before we stumbled upon the majestic rusty beauty that was to be my steed.
Captain Crunch: [Hmm…looks like it might need some cleaning.]
After a bit more poking and prodding we determined that the bike was at least useable, though Captain Crunch suggested that we get it tuned up. I said good bye to Captain Crunchand went upstairs to eat dinner. I still needed to pick up some things, and one of the people at work had mentioned a super market in the area so I gave her a call to get some directions.
Me: [Hello? Is this Pirate?]
Me: [um…this is Colgan]
Pirate: Oh, good evening.
Me: Good evening. Um, I was wondering if you could tell me how to get to the supermarket?
Pirate: Supermarket? I’ll take you there, meet you on first floor in 5 minutes.
So Pirate ended up giving me a ride to the supermarket in her car. She said it’s about 10 minutes away by bicycle. I ended up getting some fruit at the supermarket and nail clippers and tweezers at the store next door. I was looking for some bath toys too but they didn’t have any 😦
Pirate they probably had them at the 100 yen store but it was too late to go there.
When I got back to the dorm I did my laundry and hung it up on my balcony to dry.
